GreenTown Los Altos is a non-partisan, non-profit environmental organization founded in 2007 to help Los Altos and Los Altos Hills become more sustainable. We are educating citizens to reduce waste, water and energy use in our community.

GreenTown is currently focused on the following programs:

  • Business Co-Op: helping businesses switch to environmentally-preferable products

  • Freiker/Bike to School: promoting biking and biking safety

  • Sustainable Land Use: educating the community about smart growth for Los Altos

  • Waste Reduction Initiative: advocating waste-reduction policies and working with local organizations to reduce waste at community events.
