Join the GreenTown Los Altos movement today

GreenTown Los Altos is a local, volunteer, nonprofit organization that gives people the knowledge, inspiration, and support to do their part in creating a healthier environment and more vibrant community for our children and grandchildren, today. Our goals are to help people in Los Altos and Los Altos Hills reduce waste, energy use, water consumption, and vehicle trips.

GreenTown is currently focused on the following programs:

• GreenTown Co-Op: helping restaurants and food service providers "go compostable" at affordable prices.

• Bike and Walk to School: promoting biking, walking and biking safety

• Sustainable Land Use: educating the community about smart growth for Los Altos

• Waste Reduction Initiative: advocating waste-reduction policies and working with local organizations to reduce waste at community events.

Hear Mission Trail Waste Systems, the new service provider, lead a presentation on residential services from 7-8 pm and commercial services, from 8-9 pm.
