1. Business Co-op
We have formed a buying co-op to help restaurants switch to compostable take-out containers at affordable prices.

2. Freiker/Bike to School
Our goal is to increase average bike ridership from ~11% to over 20% at four elementary schools in the '09-'10 school year through education, measurement, and incentives.

3. Sustainable Land Use
Our Sustainable Land Use Work Group is working to educate and engage the community in supporting smart growth land use choices for downtown Los Altos as a means to create a more vibrant, economically vital and sustainable community.

4. Waste Reduction Initiative
Our waste reduction initiative is three-part: 1) education 2) advocating waste-reduction policies to city government and 3) working with local organizations to reduce waste at community events.
