Climate Change: Solutions
In going about our daily lives – commuting, sheltering our families, eating – each of us contributes to the greenhouse gas emissions that are causing climate change. The good news is that potentially catastrophic impacts of climate change can be reversed by humans -- through investments in energy efficiency, renewable energy supply, more fuel-efficient cars, and smarter land use planning. But we have to act now.
We can all reduce climate change by doing our part to reduce our emissions to the atmosphere. You can get started right away by joining the Low Carbon Challenge (link to the LCC pledge) and choose from many solutions (link to list of solutions) to reduce your carbon footprint. The choices we make in our homes, our travel, the food we eat, and what we buy and throw away can help ensure a stable climate for future generations.
