About the Event
GreenTown Los Altos will celebrate Arbor Day, April 29, by planting a Valley Oak in Redwood Grove Nature Preserve at noon. The location was selected by Ron Reynoso and his team at the CIty of Los Altos and will help with the planting. Mayor Anita Enander will be speaking at the event.
GreenTown has a goal to plant 500 trees and this Valley Oak will be Tree no. 300! This tree will honor Gary and his work to plant 500 Trees in our community and his distinguished service to GreenTown. Since its inception, Gary has worked diligently to spread the word about the importance of planting trees, especially those native to our region, to help mitigate the effects of climate change. Planting this Valley Oak is a wonderful way to honor him while celebrating Arbor Day.
