About the Event

Two opportunities to spiff up Woodland Library. The existing Woodland Library Garden will have a workday Saturday, 8/10, 8:30 - 10:30 AM for a garden maintenance day.  We need volunteers to help with weeding and general upkeep. If you’re available to assist, please contact Glenda Chang at glendachang@greentownlosaltos.org We’re also excited to announce we got the green light to start working on the space behind Woodland Library's drought-tolerant demonstration garden. This empty space will be transformed with our vision to transform it into a vibrant native habitat ecosystem garden. This project will incorporate key concepts such as urban gardening, sustainability, carbon sequestration, citizen science, outdoor teaching spaces, community gardening, inclusiveness, drought tolerance, and pollinator and bird conservation. We will be collaborating with our native plants specialist, Nikki Hanson, and we’ll begin work in the Fall. If you’re interested in helping, please contact Glenda Chang at glendachang@greentownlosaltos.org.
