About the Event

Join us for National River Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Register today and be the solution to water pollution in Santa Clara County! We welcome volunteers of all ages!

Every participant must sign the provided waiver found on https://cleanacreek.org/volunteer-info-2/, and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Email us at volunteer@valleywater.org if you have any questions about this cleanup site.

  • Cleanup supplies will be provided. Gloves, bags, and other cleanup supplies will be provided on-site.
  • Stay hydrated! Bring and fill up your reusable water bottle before you head out.
  • Don’t forget to wear sunscreen and a hat!
  • Wear comfortable clothing, long pants, and closed-toe shoes.

Talk trash and help spread awareness about littering by sharing cleanup posts and photos through social media. Tag us using the hashtag #NRCD2024 on Instagram and Facebook (@scvwd) or X (Twitter) (@valleywater).

About National River Cleanup:

National River Cleanup Day is a nationwide effort to protect our rivers, watersheds, and wildlife from trash and debris. Since its inception by American Rivers in 1991, more than 1.3 million volunteers have participated in thousands of cleanups across the country, covering more than 261,000 miles of waterways and removing more than 32.5 million pounds of litter and debris. The Creek Connections Action Group coordinates the effort in Santa Clara County.
