Organizational Overview
GreenTown Los Altos is a community-based nonprofit focused on educating and inspiring people in Los Altos and Los Altos Hills to embrace environmentally sustainable practices. Started in 2007, GreenTown Los Altos achieves its mission through educational efforts, programs and policy work focused on helping the community reduce waste, water, energy use, and car trips. GreenTown’s success depends on having a strong group of volunteers involved in and helping lead the activities and the programs.
Framework
Ten week Internships at 20 hours per week for four students working in teams of two. They’ll work on our summer outreach programs and on an independent project related to our areas of focus. Click on the video to see last year’s interns discuss their experience.
