Gary Latshaw, retired physicist and Chair of Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter’s Air Quality Committee shares his insights on toxic air emissions from the Lehigh Southwest Cement Permanente Plant in Cupertino. Gary has been actively involved in defining the Chapter’s position on the expansion of Lehigh Cement’s quarrying operation, pointing out the risks associated with toxic emissions such as mercury, chromium VI and water pollution.

Come to the monthly meeting to learn more about Lehigh and it’s impacts on our air and water quality.
